Class Descriptions
Clay Date (1 session, 2.5 hours, $70 per person)
Age recommendation: This class is 9+ to use the wheel. Anyone under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
What to expect:
Hour 1: Lea demonstrates a form on the wheel. Everyone makes 1-3 pots on the wheel and Lea is there for instruction and assistance as needed. Then, we'll put your pottery under the fan. This is a chance to get your pottery a little more stable for underglaze as you are still working.
Hour 2: Everyone paints their pottery with underglaze. Choose from a variety of colors and combinations to finalize your perfect piece.
*Your pots will be fired and dipped in clear glaze and fired again so they will be dinnerware safe!
Clay Date (2 sessions, $120 per person)
Price is per person - which comes out to $60 per session. This is a 2-session class and you'll each get a wheel.
What to expect: You'll have fun creating 1-3 items on the potter's wheel alongside other great people in our community. Isn't it the best when you can spend a little time being creative? No experience required, just come with an open mind and have fun!
Session 1: Everyone makes 1-3 pots on the wheel and Lea is there for instruction and assistance. Behind the scenes, Lea trims all of the pots and fires them to biqueware.
Session 2: Everyone glazes their pots. Choose from a variety of glaze colors and combinations to finalize your perfect piece. Pots will be fired and you will be notified when to pick them up at the studio.
Family Pottery (1 session, 2.5 hours, $55 per person per wheel)
Age recommendation: This class is 5+ to use the wheel. There should be at least 1 adult and 1 child registered together for Family Pottery. Each registration gets a wheel.

There should be at least 1 adult and 1 child registered together for Family Pottery. Each registration gets a wheel. 6 wheel registrations max. This is a great chance for parents and kids to experience creating art on the potter's wheel together!
What to expect:
Session 1: Everyone makes 1-3 pots on the wheel and Lea is there for instruction and assistance. Behind the scenes, Lea trims all of the pots and fires them to biqueware.
Session 2 (the next week): Everyone glazes their pots. Choose from a variety of colors and combinations to finalize your perfect piece. Pots will be fired and you will be notified to pick them up at the studio within 2 weeks.
Couples Date Night Pottery (2 sessions, $240 per couple / each gets a wheel)
I know you are thinking, "So this is like Ghost, right?" The answer to that is that you will have fun creating 1-3 items on the potter's wheel alongside your partner. Isn't it the best when you can create on a date? No experience required, just come with an open mind and have fun!
What to expect:
Session 1: Everyone makes 1-3 pots on the wheel and Lea is there for instruction and assistance. Behind the scenes, Lea trims all of the pots and fires them to biqueware.
Session 2: Everyone glazes their pots. Choose from a variety of colors and combinations to finalize your perfect piece.
Pots will be fired and you will be notified to pick them up at the studio.
Open Studio (3 sessions, $190)
Class max size: 6. Open studio is for people in the community to come and be able to be creative with pottery who have experience and don't necessarily want/need a lesson. You can use the wheel or hand-building materials and a slab roller.
What to expect:
Session 1: Lea does a basic demonstration to refresh your memory if you need it. Everyone makes 1-4 pots on the wheel and Lea is there for instruction and assistance as needed.
Session 2: This is a chance to trim and detail your creations before the clay gets fired.
Session 3: Everyone glazes their pottery. Choose from a variety of colors and combinations to finalize your perfect piece.

Pottery with Lids (3 sessions)
Ever want to make a pot with a lid? Well, here is your class! The class is broken up into 3 sessions, which are creating 2-3 forms, trimming, and glazing. Some experience with pottery on the wheel is recommended but not required.
Mug Making (2 sessions, 2 hours each, $120)
Wouldn't it be awesome to drink out of a mug you created? This class is split into wheel throwing 1-2 items, adding handles and trimming, and the last is glazing choosing from a variety of colors. No experience is required, just come with an open mind and have fun!
Special Parties (Most likely 1 session of 2-3 hours, depending on your availability and project)
I love teaching special pottery classes! If you have a party of 6 adults or a mix of adults and kids that wants to take a class on the potter's wheel, this is perfect for you. This can either be a wheel class, handbuilding, or pottery painting class.
Glaze a Mug, Vase, or Cup ($25-50)
Just want to glaze or paint something? Some people are not into the mud! Register to paint a previously handmade mug, vase, or cup with a variety of glazes. Get some friends together and we can make sure we have what you are looking for to glaze.
